I don't know why this image is so haunting but it is. I totally agree with the quote from Ernst Haas, about SEE-ing - and this angle allows me to see Times Square in a new way. But I've also read that the ambiguous visual actually challenges the brain in ways the obvious ones don't - releasing more pleasure endorphins. This shot did that for me.
